Phony rescue group alert

I just got this, good GRIEF if this is true this is criminal. For many years people stole pets during the night to sell to research. We know that, and one of the main people doing that, as I recall, was named Baird.I thought that had been stopped, but it seems nothing ever really gets stopped if this is true.

Hi everyone, My husband is doing some work for USHS and he became aware of this information and passed it on to me. It seems very valid and something we need to be on alert for. This group mentioned below is transporting animals pulled from shelters across the US and selling them to vivisection research labs/medical labs.It is believed by Humane Soc. of the US that this is occurring in NC. Please pass along to fellow rescuers you may know - thanks! Sharon Albright " wanted to give those of you that help coordinate rescue for your shelters a head's up. Please use extreme caution working with an organization called Los Angelitos De Dios based out of Los Angeles, CA. We were contacted by Annette Walbon in MI who is acting as a middleman for their organization. This group, LADD is planning to come to NC and pull Beagles and Hounds from shelters in NC. They are coming to NC and putting dogs immediately on transport to go back to CA. They are calling it a "medical transport", whatever the hell that is. LADD had Annette contact us because we had a few Plott Hounds. We immediately saw a red flag. First off, there are plenty of homeless dogs in CA. Their FB page is very vague and there is no Petfinder or Shelter Exchange.LADD submitted a 501(c)3 letter for an organization called Wings of Rescue, and stated they were allowed to pulled under them.We contacted Wings of Rescue, who confirmed LADD was NOT allowed to use their 501(c)3 letter. One of our volunteers has a friend with LA Animal Control, who stated LADD was banned from pulling from their shelter due to questionable rescue practices. We have blacklisted them from Nash County Shelter."
