It had to be me

Yesterday another mechanic in our hangar told me they had brought in outside help for his helicopter who arrived from Florida with his trailer. So what you might ask does this have to do with me?
Well it appears the man had more than tools in that trailer. The man said he kept thinking he heard a cat and when they opened the trailer a fluffy tabby ran out and disappeared in the hangar. Yes this is where they figure I come in.
The cat got loose several hours before I arrived and the man and trailer were now on the way to their next job in Beaumont TX. but he mentioned his son had a cat and he hoped it wasn't his but he had to get to his next job.
Unable to think of anything else I put some food out by the small shed adjacent to the hangar and planned to put out the cat traps tomorrow if there was any sign of the cat.
Could have saved myself the trouble.
Around 4 PM I was starting work on a fabric aircraft I have been repairing. As I picked up a can of solvent and started cleaning the paint off my hands I heard a small meow and felt something on my leg.
Sure enough the cat had been hiding in the wings on the hangar wall and was now ready to go home.
Currently a fluffy, young, very friendly tabby  is chilling at Suesmews while we try to figure out where she belongs.
stay tuned for more

It was the man's son's cat. I got ahold of him yesterday and it appears his son's cat got into the trailer the night before and he asked his dad about it Tuesday. He will pass by this way on Monday to bring her back home to Florida.

Our little hangar foundling is safely on her way back to Florida and her 4 year old owner. Hope she learned a lesson.
